Beta Project (Direct Aid)

Beta Test 1

We normally would do an event like this with our “clients” local informal merchants, after we teach them how to transact with cryptocurrency as payment. However, due to our financial limits, we decided to make and sell the kits directly by purchasing them wholesale, making the funds go far enough to make 50 kits total.

The kits included basic medicines like alcohol, aspirin, toothpaste, shampoo, pills for nausea and diarrhea as well as vitamins, sports drink, water, and a sweet treat to give them strength for their journey ahead. The cost of each kit was about 5 USD.

We partnered with a local chapter of the NGO ADRA, on the outskirts of Cúcuta, that helps people by offering them a place to eat and rest before they continue their journey. As a thank you, for their humanitarian efforts part of our donation went towards 50 Kilos of sugar, 60 Kilos of rice and 20 Litres of oil. So they could continue to help more people after our event.
